If we count the number of shaded and unshaded squares we see the following;
A= 15 squares – 2 unshaded = 13 shaded squares
B= 16 squares – 4 unshaded = 12 shaded
C= 14 squares – 2 unshaded =12 shaded.
So A has greatest shaded area.
