Use your logical skills to solve this riddle.
Dexter was working in his chemistry lab and created a mixture whose weight is contributed by 90% water and 10% Carbon.
The weight of the mixture is 20 pounds.
As he just finished creating the mixture, Dexter needs to go urgently for some work for 2 days.
When he returns, he finds that the weight of the water in the mixture was reduced from 90% to 50%.

Answer: 4 pounds.
In the 20 pound mixture the water content was 90% that is 18 pounds and the carbon is 10 % i.e. 2 pounds.
In the new mixture the water content has reduced to 50% of the mixture, so now the mixture has 50% water and 50% carbon. (That is the mixture is mixed in the ratio 1:1.)
The weight of carbon will not change as only the water has dried out.
We know the weight of carbon is 2 pounds so water will also be 2 pounds (as the mixture is now 1:1)
So the new weight of the mixture will be 2 + 2 = 4 pounds.
