The age difference of the 2 sisters is therefore in any case;
A. Less than 4 years.
B. At least 4 years.
C. Exactly 4 years.
D. More than 4 years.
E. Not less than 3 years.

If you consider all options you will see in any case they cannot be less than 3 years.

In this case the age difference would be 4 years 11 months.
Condition 2 (Minimum age difference):
Amy is born in December 1997 & Cheryl is born in January 2001.
In this case the age difference would be 3 years 1 month.
So the only option that is satisfied by these 2 conditions is option E, which is that they can never be less than 3 years.
