Only one color, but not one size,

Stuck at the bottom, yet easily flies.

Present in sun, but not in rain,

Doing no harm, and feeling no pain.

  1. Not true. There can be shadows while it’s raining. The sun can be out, and the rain need not obscure the sun. Near where I work, there seems, at times, to be an atmospheric boundary along the freeway near the office. The freeway seems to encourage the upper-level airflow a certain way such that the clouds traverse along one side of the freeway, but not the other, and when the lower-level crosswind blows hard enough, it can bring rain over to the sunny side, which still has shadows cast by the sun. Raindrops don’t necessarily fall straight down to the earth — it is affected by winds, which can swirl, making the drops spiral downward or even go back up!
