Both of them can only say “Tomorrow, I will lie.”; when one of them is lying and the other is honest.
Such a thing can occur only on Thursday.
Since James is honest on Thursday when he says he will lie tomorrow its true.
On the other hand Jonathan lies on Thursday, so he can lie about anything.
So the answer is Thursday.
