What Would be the Maximum Distance Covered by the Scooter

A man is riding a two-wheeler scooter on a challenging road.

The tires/tyres wear out quickly on this road.

He has 1 spare tire so 3 tires in total.

Each tyre can go a maximum of 10 km.

What is the maximum distance that the man can cover?

Answer to Scooter Riddle:

2 tyres will be used simultaneously, so if the man uses both of them together he will be able to ride for only 10 kms…but we have to find the maximum distance.

The man will use the 1st 2 for 5km. (Say A & B)

After 5 kms the man will replace B with the fresh tire C. (So now he is using A & C.)

A will wear out after 5 more kms so he will now replace A with B. (So now he has B & C.)

So he can now ride for 5 more kms till both the tire wear out.

So in all the maximum distance that he can cover is 15 kms
