Whatsapp Cricket Riddle: Which Batsman Will Be shown Not Out
Cricket Riddles and puzzles are getting popular on WhatsApp now. Here is another one which is a bit tricky and makes you think. I actually had to sit with a pen and paper to get it right.
One simple question for cricket lovers…Batting team comes for batting and their 10 batsmen get out in 10 consecutive balls.
If there were no attempts to score any runs. Question is which number Batsman will be shown not out on scorecard..

Answer to the Cricket Riddle:
8th Batsman would be shown Not Out.
Explanation:
Like I said this is a tricky one.
Let’s look at it ball by ball.
In the first over the Batsman No.1 will have the strike and the Batsman no.2 is at the non-strikers end.
Over No.1: The fall of wickets would be like this;
Ball 1: Batsman No.1
Ball 2: Batsman No.3
Ball 3: Batsman No.4
Ball 4: Batsman No.5
Ball 5: Batsman No.6
Ball 6: Batsman No.7
Over changes and the strike rotates so now Batsman No.2 will have the strike and Batsman No.8 will be at the non-strikers end.
Over No.2: The fall of wickets would be like this;
Ball 1: Batsman No.2
Ball 2: Batsman No.9
Ball 3: Batsman No.10
Ball 4: Batsman No.11
Since batsman No.8 is at the non-strikers end he will be shown as Not out in the scorecard.
