A new day…a new beginning!

Hello friends,

Had been really tied up with a lot of work, and so was unable to write much! Today being a weekly off, I finally thought of hopping in with a few experiences and thoughts I went through in the last week!

A couple of days back, I woke up in the morning and it was a very dull day! It had rained last night and this non-seasonal rains had made the climate too lousy…a bad climate with humidity and heat, which was definitely a bad beginning! To add to it, my maid came late to work which just caused more irritation! Since I had thought it’s a bad day right from the time I woke up, nothing came in my way of making this a truly bad one! The pick-up came late, loads of traffic, reached late, loads of work, assigned duties to other colleagues not completed, bosses demanding too much answers, exchange of harsh words with subordinates…as if it was all planned…1 bad thing leading to another! End of the day I came home and thought…had I triggered it all? Did I lead these events and forced them into my mind, heart and eventually my day?? perhaps yesss…I did! So then why not try and force a good day into my life??If I truly have the potential to make my day the way I want it to, let me use my energy to force something good! And believe it or not, it worked!

Next day, the same climate, but I said to myself “Oh What a beautiful day” Thanked God for giving me all this…a beautiful blue sky, a loving family, good friends, a job to die for, all the beautiful things I have experienced! It was such a wonderful feeling and thought to kick-start my day, and everything went as I had thought…reached on time, no traffic, all assignments completed, new assignments to begin, bosses appreciating my work, subordinates too smiling and I realized that maybe I have spread the feel-good feeling!

It is rightly said…A smile is truly contagious…and this was the best example of proving it right! If I am smiling, I am feeling good and happy, I saw how effectively I spread this feeling to everybody around me! So though you may feel low or sad with events or things in your life, remember to move your feelings to the brighter side by feeling grateful for all that you have, this would make you happy! And see the wonders…I have experienced it myself, you too try it out and do share such experiences here! Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂
